I loved shooting the wedding below. Why? Quite simply, this is one of the nicest couples I have ever had the privilege to shoot – they and their guests are what made this wedding great. I actually met the bride on the train – an overheard snatch of conversation bemoaning the fact they hadn’t found a wedding photographer they liked to cover their big day. One ‘Excuse me, here’s my card’ and an apology for earwigging (of course), a cup of tea at their house (they make a great cup of tea) to discuss plans and there we were, ready to photograph their wedding day.
On the day itself, Waltham Abbey in Hertfordshire and flowers and bridal preparations were my first stop. Then it was across the border to Epping in Essex to meet with the groom and best man for a fun little pre-wedding shoot. Afterwards it was back to Hertfordshire for a wedding breakfast and some fine speeches.
