I photographed this set back in the Autumn, but have only just sat down to add these to the blog – the wait has been worth it for me though and revisiting these images to compile this post has been gratifying as I had forgotten how much I like these images – so it gives me great pleasure to share them.
So we roll back to October and a trip out to Hertfordshire to visit this young man and his parents for a portrait shoot. Before I arrived, I had been asked to capture some strong black and white portraits and general documentary shoots of the family. A sleeping baby greeted me, which made for a relaxed start capturing some detail and making the most of a still baby.
Oh what a little poppet! These pictures are wonderful…a true representation of a little family at this stage of their lives. These moments can pass so fast so much needed!
Great pictures, I’m sure they’ll be very much treasured in the years to come. I love the two with the dad leaning over him. Cute little chappie!
Oh that foot picture is beautiful!

Cute pictures, you did a great job here!
Great set, nicely captured and love the B&W processing. The dad holding aloft the baby is a cracker!

Aw, these are beautiful Andy, I love the last one and the ‘superman’ further up. Great stuff!
Lovely work Andy, what a lovely set of family portraits. Love all the different textures in the overhead cot shot. Magic.
Lovely set of images Andy. Really relaxed and touching photographs. They’ll treasure them I’m sure.
A excellent set. Especially like the black and whites.
Oh Wow! This takes me back – The little boy is our son, Gabriel. We had such fun and the pics are scattered (in a good way!!) across the house. He’s changed so much, we might have to get you back soon!! Thanks Andy, Jacq x
