I managed to meet-up with Imogen and Jon during the dry spell we had in March in Trent Park, Enfield for their pre-wedding shoot. Making the most of the weather (despite the ominous skies at times), we had a pleasant wander around the park, making use of the ‘grown up’ play equipment (sadly Go-Ape was yet to open).
E-shoots are always a great time to capture some nice portraits of a couple, as well as a chance to get to know them more (and of course for them to get to know me). I really feel having a good rapport with your couples builds a great relationship prior to the wedding and aids the capture of some lovely images on the day – past experience has also taught me that it helps relax often nervous brides or grooms having a friendly face around before the ceremony, although a repetition of cutting a best mans hair will hopefully not be on the cards too soon (if ever). I know I am looking forward to photographing their church wedding in Enfield and reception at Capel Manor, later this year.
