A Saturday back in September saw me photographing the wedding of Kate and Stephen who I first met back in March for their (very cold) pre-wedding shoot in St Albans. Their venue, the magnificent Sculpture gallery at Woburn Abbey. After an early meet with Stephen and his best man and grooms-men, a meeting with the delightful registrar (who was also the brides Aunt) we waited for Kate’s arrival and entrance.
The sculpture gallery at Woburn is a lovely venue – gorgeous light through the large windows and a stunning backdrop for wedding photographs. The grounds surrounding are equally as photogenic and proved ideal for some great pictures of the bride and groom before we rejoined the main party at a drinks reception inside.
Whilst the main body of wedding guests took a trip around the adjoining safari park, Kate and Stephen had a quick spin into Woburn itself, which was hosting it’s annual oyster festival, before heading back to the safari park to join the rest of the guests for their reception (which is coming up in part two).
Really cool work, right from the start to finish!
